If you have 2 or more people booked into the office, you can now start a conversation with them without disturbing those who are working remotely πŸŽ‰

Officely does this by creating a private channel in Slack and adding or removing people depending on whether or not they are booked in. You can either set this up to go out automatically or you can start it manually.

Step 1:

Head to the Officely App Home and click on the three dots next to "Today".

Step 2:

Click on "Start Office Chat".

Step 3:

Once in Office Chat, Click on "Start Chat".

Step 4:

Click the link to go to the chat, then you are good to go!

Admin Consent on Office Chat

To get the office chat working, you'd need to provide admin consent. Please contact your IT team, who will best be able to provide admin consent.

To provide Admin Consent, just head to:

Officely App Home > Click on the three dots next to Today > Start Office Chat > Click grant permissions for your organization.

Automated Office Chat

Once you've installed Officely, the Office Chat will be automated, which means you won't have to manually start it.

If you'd like to switch off the automated feature, then all you need to do is head to:

Officely App Home > Settings > Start Office Chat > Click Manage next to your preferred office > Click on the toggle button to turn off the automation.

You can also set your preferred start and end date there.

Archiving and cleaning up

At your preset time, Officely will automatically archive the channel. This means you don't need to worry about cleaning up, and you can always look back through your archived channels should you wish to view your messages at a later date.
