Customising working statuses lets account admins rename Officely’s default status options, change their emojis, and update the text teammates see when someone has that status active.
This is useful if your organisation uses different language for working locations, leave types, or availability.
Who can customise statuses?
Only account admins can customise statuses.
If you cannot see the option, you may not have account admin permissions, or statuses may not be enabled for your account.
How to customise statuses
Open Officely in Microsoft Teams.
Go to Settings.
Select Account & Billing.
Go to the Statuses section.
Click Customize status names & emojis.
Edit the status details you want to change:
Emoji - the emoji shown with the status
Name - the status name shown in Officely
Active text shown to teammates - the message teammates see when someone has that status activeClick Save changes.
Your updated status names will now appear across Officely wherever those statuses are shown.
Which statuses can be customised?
You can customise the name, emoji, and active text for:
Office
Home
Non-working day
Off sick
Vacation
Away
Traveling for work
Client offices
Examples
You could rename Vacation to Annual leave, or rename Home to Working remotely.
If your team needs a TOIL option, you could rename one of your absence statuses, such as Away, to TOIL.
Good to know
Customising a status changes how that existing status appears for your team. It does not create a brand-new status category or change the underlying behaviour of that status.
For example, if you rename Vacation to Annual leave, it will still behave like the Vacation status in Officely, but your team will see the wording you choose.
