At the moment, Officely can only be used on one communication platform at a time.
This means a single Officely account cannot be shared across Slack and Microsoft Teams simultaneously.
How Officely works with Slack and Microsoft Teams
Officely is fully embedded within your chosen platform:
If you install Officely in Slack, all users must access Officely through Slack
If you install Officely in Microsoft Teams, all users must access Officely through Teams
There is no separate admin dashboard outside of Slack or Teams
Because of this, users on Slack and Teams cannot be part of the same Officely workspace at the same time.
What if our company uses both Slack and Microsoft Teams?
If your organisation (or a newly acquired company) uses different platforms, you have two options:
Option 1: Stay on Slack
If Officely is currently set up in Slack, you can continue using it there until you’re ready to move everyone to Teams.
Option 2: Migrate fully to Microsoft Teams
When you’re ready, you can:
Set up Officely in Microsoft Teams
Move all users onto Teams
Decommission the Slack setup once the transition is complete
Our support team can help you plan this transition and ensure it runs smoothly.
Why isn’t there a standalone admin centre?
Officely is designed to live inside Slack or Microsoft Teams to provide:
Native notifications
Seamless booking flows
In-context approvals and reminders
Because of this, all user and account management happens within the platform where Officely is installed.
