How to enable and disable Officely's Check-ins

Officely's Check-ins help to ensure office attendance data is the most accurate. Once this feature is enabled, employees will receive morning prompts asking if they are still planning on coming to the office that day. This will help to ensure that if their plans have changed the desk can be freed and opened for another colleague to join. Follow the steps below to enable the check-ins:

Here's a step-by-step video guide

Step 1:

Head to Officely > Go to... > All settings

Step 2:

Click on Offices > Three dots on the right > Settings

Step 3:

Scroll down to Office Check-ins and click on manage

Step 4:

Here you can enable check-ins, add custom text, choose whether youd like check-ins to auto-cancel if employees don't check in and select the cancellation hour

Step 5:

Once set up is complete click on 'Save Changes' and the check-ins will start sending the notification at 7am on the day

Step 6:

You can view who has checked in and who hasn't by clicking on more actions and scrolling down to view check-ins

You will be able to see who has checked in and who hasn't checked in yet

Step 7:

You can also send employees nudges to remind them to check in if they haven't yet by clicking nudge all (if you haven't enabled the auto cancelation feature)

Employees will receive a message like this (including custom text that you might have added)

What happens when an employee checks in

When employees receive the check-in prompt, they'll have two options:

1. Check in — Confirms they're in the office that day. Their booking stays as normal.
2. I'm actually remote — Switches their status and frees up their desk for someone else.

Automatic cancellation for no-shows

If an employee doesn't respond to the check-in prompt, their booking will be automatically cancelled. This ensures desks aren't held by people who are no longer coming in, freeing up the space for colleagues who want to book in.

This helps keep your office attendance data accurate and makes sure desk availability reflects who's actually in the office.
