Check-ins let employees confirm that they attended the office on the day they booked.

This helps admins keep more accurate attendance records and understand who actually came into the office.

Check-ins let employees confirm that they attended the office on the day they booked.

This helps admins keep more accurate attendance records and understand who actually came into the office.

To manage Check-ins:

1. Go to Officely → Settings → Offices
2. Select the office you’d like to update
3. Click Manage
4. Go to Check-ins
5. Click Enable or Configure


Setting the check-in reminder time


You can choose what time check-in reminders are sent.

In the Check-ins settings, use Send reminders at to choose the reminder hour.

This uses 24-hour time in the office’s timezone.

For example:

- 9 = 9:00am
- 13 = 1:00pm
- 17 = 5:00pm


Adding a custom check-in message


You can add a custom message to your check-in reminder.

For example:
Remember to check in once you arrive at the office.


This is useful if you want to include office-specific instructions, reminders, or context.


Automatically cancelling bookings if employees don’t check in

You can automatically cancel bookings for employees who do not check in.

Turn on:

Automatically cancel bookings for people who do not check in

Then choose when Officely should cancel the booking.

There are two options:

A set number of hours after the reminder

Choose how many hours after the check-in reminder Officely should wait before cancelling the booking.

For example, if reminders are sent at 9:00 and you set auto-cancel to 2 hours after the reminder, unchecked bookings will be cancelled at 11:00.

At a specific hour of the day

Choose a fixed deadline hour.

For example, if reminders are sent at 9:00 and the deadline hour is 12:00, unchecked bookings will be cancelled at 12:00.



Important notes about auto-cancel


- Auto-cancel only applies when Check-ins are enabled.
- Auto-cancel must happen on the same day as the reminder.
- The auto-cancel deadline must be after the reminder time.
- Auto-cancel is unavailable if reminders are sent at 23:00.


Viewing check-in status


Admins can view who has and hasn’t checked in from the office day.

From the Check-ins view, you can:

- See employees who have checked in
- See employees who haven’t checked in
- Nudge employees who haven’t checked in
- Cancel individual unchecked bookings
- Cancel all unchecked bookings


Check-in status in exports


Booking exports include check-in status, so admins can review attendance data outside Officely (this can be found in Insights).

This makes it easier to compare booked attendance with confirmed attendance.
